Capital Comedy was formed by Mac Star, a Tasmanian comedian, who now resides in Edinburgh.
Whilst performing on stage in Scotland, Mac found himself, mixing with a wealth of talent and genuine people. There seemed to be a common consensus that stage time within Scotland was at a premium, meaning that fewer acts were being developed. Mac started a venue in Edinburgh and learnt his trade as a promoter very quickly. He formed Capital Comedy and has not looked back.
Capital Comedy believes that even if you live outside the major cities, you should still be entitled to all the pazazz of a big city show. We host monthly shows in the smaller towns of Scotland, and bring big names within comedy to these venues.
We strongly believe that new talent needs to be noticed, and at every show there will be 1 comedian who is developing their act, getting started on what will hopefully be a great career.

Capital Comedy will endeavour to bring up to 6 comedians to every show, they will be different comedians, and we plan it so that you will not see the same comedian within 6 months of their previous performance*.
* This policy excludes last minute cancellations, and the use of our regular MC's.
